QUEENS — A Jamaica man got so upset during a fight over the apartment bathroom that he used a metal chair to beat two women, including one who was pregnant, police sources said.

The argument erupted on Feb. 21 around 11:35 a.m., between Arthur Jones, 32, and two women who rented rooms in the same house on 164th Street, near 107th Street, police said. The roommates, police sources said, fought over using a bathroom that they shared. Jones became so angry that he started beating the women, one of whom is three months pregnant, sources said. He punched the pregnant woman in the stomach and then grabbed a metal folding chair and struck her in the head, causing severe pain and forcing the woman to go to Jamaica Hospital, according to sources. The woman's condition was not clear. Jones also hit the other roommate in the face with the chair, causing a cut, bruises and swelling to the upper lip, police said. Jones was arrested when he showed up at the 103rd Precinct to file a complaint and officers realized that two reports were filed against him earlier that day. It was unclear what kind of complaint Jones intended to file. Jones was charged with assault, harassment and criminal possession of a weapon, according to court records.

He is due back in court on March 17. Attempts to reach his attorney were not immediately successful. Other notable crimes in the 103rd Precinct include: ► A woman who took a cab from JFK on Feb. 11 was robbed by the driver, who forced her to withdraw $400 from an ATM and then fled, police sources said. While driving, the man asked the 28-year-old passenger, who wanted to go to Manhattan, how much money she had on her and then told her that she didn’t have enough, police sources said. The driver then became very angry and drove her to an ATM on Sutphin Boulevard, near Jamaica Avenue in downtown Jamaica. He told the woman to withdraw $400 or he would keep her suitcase. He then followed her to the ATM and took the money she withdrew. He also told her to hand him her wallet and took $84 out of it. He then fled, police said. No arrests had been made as of Tuesday morning. It was not clear what kind of cab was involved or if it was licensed with the city.

A spokesman for the Taxi and Limousine Commission said he was unaware of the incident. ► A man trying to make a drug deal in a subway station was busted when he pushed a responding lawman down an escalator, police said. On Jan. 28, around 10:25 p.m., a police officer patrolling the Parsons Boulevard and Archer Avenue subway station saw a man hand a bag of marijuana to another man, police sources said. When the officer approached the suspect, Ibrahim Deas, 25, he threw the bag over the station's balcony into the mezzanine, police said. When the officer tried to stop Deas, he began fighting with the officer on the escalator, sources said. At some point, Deas pushed the officer down the escalator. The officer suffered injuries to his head, lower back, shoulder and left ankle, according to the criminal complaint. During the melee, police said the officer saw Deas throw out several bags of marijuana. Eventually police arrested Deas, who was charged with assault, tampering with physical evidence, obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest, criminal possession of marijuana and criminal sale of marijuana.
