alas, bleachers are so popular that they sell out for every game before the season even starts. but i'll let you in on a secret - they reserve a good # for friends of giants employees (i know because i know one). of course, the employees don't need extra seats to every game, so the remaining seats are sold to the public from 0-48 hours before the game. so if you are willing to cut it close you may get them at face from the box office. if you don't want to wait, the best place to find tickets is craigslist. the prices at double play window are usually ridiculous outrageous and much higher than craigslist. trust me, that's where i buy and sell them, as do many season ticket holders. one last thought - chicago is very very popular - there are many cubs fans in the area, so you may have to pay something above face if you want to nail down tix in advance. for people who want tix to less popular teams, be advised that they tend to drop dramatically in price as gametime approaches.

Since this will be your first game at our ballpark, I recommend that you get something in the upper deck so you can enjoy the incredible views of the bay in between innings. Just avoid the upper deck seats in left field as they don't offer a full view on the playing field The reason I recommend the Double Play Ticket Window to tourists is because most people from out of town might find it difficult to negotiate a place to pick up the tickets from a seller on craigslist (unless it's at the ballpark), since they aren't very familiar with the city. Plus, there is never a guarantee that the seller on craigslist is going to follow through and actually provide the tickets. I've purchased many tickets via the DPTW for face value or slightly above.
