The Courtroom is a 2,400 square foot banquet hall located on the second floor of the Courthouse Executive Center. It may be used for a variety of functions, such as wedding and receptions, lectures, seminars, business meetings, fund raisers and parties. The Courtroom features a wide array of amenities from a multimedia center, which includes an eighty inch television with computer interface for presentations, DVD and CD players, P.A. system with surround sound. Great detail has gone into the decor of the hall with its sixteen foot ceilings, restored original hardwood floors, wainscot paneled walls, chandeliers, wall sconces and small stage. Rental rates vary depending on days of the week. Evening and weekend rates are for 9 hours. No events are past midnight. Rental rates include use of the Courtroom, parlor, lounge and kitchen. Tables and chairs are included in the rental amount and we take care of the setup. There are additional charges for table linens, skirting and ice.

Do it 10 to 12 months in advance, if possible. Who do I speak with about booking my event or having a site tour? Bellewood Plantation is available for tours on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. to make your appointment, to check availability and schedule a tour of the venue. What services does the rental fee include? Bellewood Plantation provides setup of tables, chairs, and benches, parking attendant, lawn and property maintenance, pest control, and mosquito control. The rental fee also includes use of the prep/catering kitchen. The catering kitchen has a full size refrigerator, a full size freezer, two stoves, two ovens and a stainless steel 3 compartment washing sink. Will there be someone from Bellewood Plantation on site the day of my Event? The only people on site the day of the event are the grounds crew maintaining the property and the parking attendant that arrives one hour prior to the ceremony. There is no full time staff on standby. Do I need a Wedding Planner/Coordinator?

All weddings require an on-site coordinator for the day of the event. Your planner/coordinator must not be a friend/family member that is also a guest or member of the bridal party. All planners/coordinators must be fully licensed and insured. Do you offer on-site/day-of coordination? Will the coordinator supervise day-of? How much assistance can I get with the setup/décor? We do offer month-of coordination for a charge. Please ask Bellewood when inquiring about venue dates and all information will be sent to you. What are the rental times? Depending on whether you are renting for the day or renting for the weekend, check in times may vary. Daily rental times of the property are 11am – 11pm. What is your alcohol policy? You may provide your own alcohol or hire a licensed and insured bartending service to provide the alcohol. Cash bars are not allowed at any time. If you purchase the alcohol yourself, it must be a self serve bar or you can hire a bartender that holds a bartending certificate.

The Renter agrees and warrants that there shall be no consumption of alcohol by persons under age 21. Are there restrooms available for the guests? The house has two restrooms on the first floor and two restrooms located on the second floor. Are there any restrictions we need to know about? RV’s, campers, camping tents, etc. are not allowed on property. Fireworks, sparklers, Chinese lanterns and confetti (including fake flower petals, rice, glitter, and balloons of any kind) are prohibited on the premises. Bellewood Plantation is on 20 lush acres of property and we are very conscious of the surrounding plant and animal life. What is your payment and cancellation policy? All payments are non-refundable. We recommend cancellation insurance if this should be of concern. How many people can this location accommodate? Bellewood Plantation can accommodate up to 250 guests for an outdoor event. The Main House can accommodate 14 people comfortably for overnight stays.

No events can be held inside the Main House. Is the site handicap accessible? There is a ramp on the side of the house to access the deck area. All ceremony and reception sites are wheelchair accessible. What’s your weather contingency plan for outdoor spaces? We have a tent (50 x 110) covering the hard court area and recommend all receptions and floor plans be prepared for under the tented area. Bellewood Plantation can accommodate receptions under the oak tree of up to 60 guests, however, no floor plan changes will be made the week of the wedding and tables and chairs cannot be moved on the day of the wedding. All floor plans must be submitted 2 weeks prior to the wedding. Do you have an in-house caterer or a list of “preferred” caterers, or do I need to provide my own? We have a list of preferred vendors that we will supply to you. You are welcome to use your own as long as they are properly licensed and insured. Are tables, linens, chairs, plates, silverware and glassware provided, or will I have to rent them myself or get them through my caterer?

We only supply tables, chairs and ceremony benches. All other items will need to be supplied by a rental company or your caterer. Are there restrictions on what kind of music I can play, or a time by which the music must end? Can the venue accommodate a DJ or live band? All music must end by 10:00 PM. This is strictly enforced by the county noise ordinance. The venue can accommodate a DJ or live band. However, if you set up the DJ or band on the deck, you must provide your own cover in case of bad weather. Is there parking on site? If so, is it complimentary? Yes, there is parking available for guests on property and it is included in your rental fee. All vehicles must park in the northwest parking lot. No parking on the grass anywhere. No vehicle shall park in the main driveway on the day of the event. All event guests shall be directed to the large parking lot on the north side of the property. A parking attendant will be available for one hour prior to the event to direct all traffic.

The parking attendant’s fee is included in the rental fee. What security services do you offer? Do I need to hire my own security guards, or does the site hire them or have them on staff? An off-duty police officer will be located across the street from the venue entrance for each event from 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. to ensure the safety of all guests on property during the event. This officer will remain out of guest sight. The fee for the police officer is included in the rental fee. This may not apply for parties with less than 50 guests. Please contact management for further discussion. Does the venue have liability insurance? The venue holds the appropriate liability insurance for the property, however it is required that all events secure their own event insurance policy naming Bellewood Plantation as an additional insured on the policy. The Renter must provide a Certificate of Liability Insurance 60 days prior to the event. Yes, there are signs on property directing traffic.
