Wife and I loved the scenery. Took a lot of photo's. Nice place for a picnic or fishing. Worth the short drive from Fayetteville. Great little place to fish and picnic. Mill is great part of history. This is a local mill that, of course, is by a waterfall. It is a fantastic place for pictures of the building with or without people. I took pictures of some people for a Christmas card. The pictures were great. I am only an amateur photographer. This is a small park with a small water cascade and old Mill building. Beautifully restored it is a great place to take pictures for prom or graduation. A few benches are scattered near the water providing a good place to relax or have lunch. The park needs some TLC, and parking is poorly coordinated. Would love to see some... We drive by here often. They keep the mill painted and neat / clean. Waterfall is beautiful and relaxing to listen to while you eat a picnic on the tables nearby. Great place to look at the architecture underneath and around the old mill

There are lots of photo opportunities at this local mill and dam just south of Fayetteville on Highway 85. It's always clean and nice and every time I stop by there are always professional photographers taking school pictures or wedding pictures. The dam is nice even when the water trickles over, great color and texture. Sweet Home Alabama had a... this is a great location for pictures. you can also fish here too! this was in the movie Sweet Home Alabama as the glass shop. When we aren't in a drought, or after a good rain, the waterfall is very pretty. They keep the mill painted nice and everything is clean. Beautiful setting for a picnic or pictures. One of our favorite movies is Sweet Home Alabama, so after learning that we now live a little over an hour's drive from this site, we had to take a short road trip! Beautiful old mill and waterfall. I took some nice pictures...it was a treasure to see! Great little place to stop to shoot some photos. Not a lot to do there but the scenery is pretty.
