But we have used it for about 2 months now as from the start (She was 5-6 months old) She sits right up in table and as comfy as us in a regular chair! I didn't buy the infant insert which I don't regret as she is secure enough with just a belt around. The best part is, its so easy to clean, just wipe with a damp paper towel. I don't know what I would have done if I bought a typical highchair as my baby makes so much mess every time I feed her, I would have to wash the seat cover twice a day!! Thank god for Tripp Trapp. Also it blends with our dinning table so I don't have to fold and hide it. Super easy to put it together (<10 mins) too Was this review helpful?

We use it with the table tray so our little one is at the table with us and it is fantastic. I highly recommend it! I was able to put this together in less the 10 minutes and that was with having to redo things twice cause I was only half way following the directions. My sister-in-law is still using hers with their son and he's 5!!! Kate Cedar Park, TX The chair was easy to set up and our baby loves being at the same level as we are. We bought the chair when he could hold his head up but before we were feeding him solid foods and he enjoyed it so much better than being on the floor in his bouncy. Now that he is eating solid foods we push the high chair up right to the table and he can reach his foods and still likes being the same height that we are when we are sitting. my sister came over and didn't even notice we got a high chair!!! looks great in our dining room and fits so well!
Our 5-month old took to it quickly and enjoys being at the table while we eat. Can't wait for him to grow up and be able to use this for years to come. Louise San DIego, California This chair is wonderful. I got it for my daughter because I had one myself when I was little and it is *the* high chair for me, stylish, cute and it grows with her. However, they have changed the design so instead of having a wooden rail so baby sits secure in it, it now has a harness to strap baby in with, just like in a car seat. I don't like the thought of my daughter getting the sense of being strapped in when sitting with us at the table eating so I got the (new) plastic baby rail that you can buy separately. I was able to add only the rail and not the back support, which is just plain ugly and unnecessary. She now sits in it well, without the harness. Obviously I would never leave her alone in the chair anyway and she can't get up from the chair yet. I really wish that Stokke would be able to live up to US safety standards in a different way than with strapping a baby in like this.
That said, it is still the only high chair I would ever think of getting for my baby. I love this chair! There really isn't much more to say than that. It went together very easily in less than fifteen minutes, and even though it is pricey, the look on my daughter's face when she is sitting at the table with us... makes it all worth it!! Very stylish, sturdy, easy to assemble and adjust. We got the chair in natural and the baby guard in white color. It looks great -- very scandinavian. This is the 2nd. Stokke chair we buy. The first one was for my son, to be used in place of a high chair, 3 yrs. ago. Since he LOVES it so much and wouldn't share, I bought now one for my daughter (7yrs.old) because she was not sitting straight on a regular dining chair and was complaining she wasn't tall enough. This is the best purchase made ever! I know that they will be using this for many many years to come as it is adjustable, and an adult can sit perfectly. It is absolutely worth the money!
and Baby Earth always has an excellent customer service and fast shipping! Is the fact that there is no tray attached a disadvantage at all? But I noticed that there is a tray that you can buy separately, so you could use one if you want.
