Eau Claire Print Building - 3907 Ensor Street This old Eau Claire Print building from the turn of the 20th century is the perfect location and facility for any event or meeting. The Eau Claire Print Building is a great facility for large group meetings, weddings and receptions, banquets and other events because of its spacious commercial grade kitchen for catering services. It serves as the site for such events as Kids Day, The Summer Concert Series, plus many more activities. The park is named for Kirkman Finlay, Mayor of Columbia who had a vision to reenergize the area known as the Vista, between Main Street and the river. A statue of Finlay has been placed in the park, showing him sitting on a bench. Finlay has two playground areas, stage area for events, a man-made lake, waterfalls, a fountain, and playing fields. Riverfront Park and Canal This flat, easy walking, paved trail follows the old towpath of the Columbia Canal, which had a brief career in the 19th century, but became obsolete because of the railroads. From the parking area, follow the paved walkway past the Visitor's Center and cross the Columbia Canal on the footbridge. Turn right to enjoy a walk/ride atop the levee separating the canal from the Congaree and Broad Rivers. You will pass an amphitheater, a picnic shelter, and covered staging area wonderful for all types of events, and several overlooks with benches, which provide a place to stop a minute and enjoy the sounds of birds.

The park has the capability of hosting smaller concerts, public speaking events, outdoor banquets and walking type events. During the springtime you may also see spider lilies on rocky shoals of the river. The trail ends at the canal diversion dam, which provides a miniature impersonation of Niagara Falls after heavy rains. On your return, you can vary your walk by descending a stairway and following the lower paved section along the river. Although there is a stairway at each end of this section, there is a ramp at the Broad River Overpass.
