My brother and SIL recommended getting a rocker-recliner, like a La-Z-Boy.  So, we did for DD and it has been awesome.  I just wasn't into the traditional gliders.  Thought I'd throw this in in case you have not considered it. This is exactly what we did. We wanted to be able to keep it for years and still use it.

We wanted good quality that would stand up for years. We even added the scotch guard to protect the fabric. I tried loads of gliders and actually really disliked all of them. They seemed rickety and squeaky and unstable and I wanted something which would be able to be used in our living room area once LO was grown up a bit.. So we're going to order the Ikea Strandmon wing chair and foot stool instead. Total in UK is £230. Very sturdy, nice and spacious, looks cool, very comfy. Can't decide on colour though. They do grey, bright orange, navy and cream. We are team green, with a neutral coloured cream / oak nursery. Was going to go for cream (not in photo) but actually both the grey and the orange might look nice as well. I have the grey Strandmon wing chairs in the library area of our great room and they are gorgeous, I prefer the lines and curves to any comparable pricier styles. It's got a nice slight recline so with a footstool would make a great nursing chair. Might want to add a small pillow for your lower back.

ETA- we don't have all those color choices in the US. Just grey and then the red and royal/navy velveteen covers. The grey is a nice modern neutral though, I'd recommend it over cream. I just had to duck in and say that, with my sleep-deprived mind, I read the title of this thread as "nursery guitars". I got a plastic molded Eames rocking chair for the nursery, but it's admittedly more for looks than practicality- I doubt I will nurse in it. Super Jealous of your eames lounger. My husband has been DYING to get one. We love them but are waiting for LO to be a little older and less likely to poop/puke on it. We got a Little Castle Mesa recliner glider. They have about 50 fabric and trim options so hopefully we will continue to use the chair in another room down the road. I really loved that it reclines to almost a flat surface so I could sleep in it if needs be.
