herman miller chair alternative

I looked at the other recommendations for an Aeron chair alternative and I can't help but wonder if the other answerers have ever even used an Aeron chair before. At a company I used to work for, we had Aeron chairs since we all sat at a computer all day. They took preventing long term chronic pain really seriously. We'd have experts come to us every now and then to make sure our chair adjustments and body posture were correct. As for the one I use, after leaving the job, I wanted a similar chair but less expensive and after a ton of research, I bought the Quantum 9000 (4th one on the list). There are chairs that look similar to the Aeron chairs but looks can be deceiving. This chair had a somewhat similar look but more importantly, had a similar feel as well. I've been using this chair for nearly years, sitting for an average of 8 hours a day, and the support and quality of the chair hasn't noticeably decreased at all. It cost about half the price of an Aeron chair or even 3 times less depending on the Aeron chair model you compare to.

The mesh seat and back support along with all of the various adjustable pieces of the chair makes is adjustable for each person's needs. The problem with cheaper chairs aside from being made of cheap parts is the lack of sufficient adjustable parts. Herman Miller , the creator of Aeron chairs, has several types of Aeron chairs as well as accessories you can get like the head rest. There are different sizes as well since someone who is small is going to need a different chair than someone who is a lot bigger. This is one reason why Aeron chairs cost so much. This one doesn't look as cool as the Aeron chairs but in terms of quality, as someone who has actually used both chairs for an extensive amount of time, there isn't too big of a difference and at a much lower price, it makes this chair a great value in my opinion. Would definitely recommend the Alera Elusion as stated by others above. In terms of price to quality ratio, it excels highly among the rest of the competition.

It comes in at a fifth of the price, around $150–$200 depending on sales. It’s essentially modeled after the Aeron, and features similar mesh style seating. While it lacks real lumbar support, it offers a similar adjustable back. Anyone who’s used an Aeron before, will definitely notice the similarities between the two.

The Herman Miller Aeron is easily one of the most well-known office chairs ever made. There’s science and style to support the $700+ price tag new, but it’s hard to justify that price when someone else isn’t footing the bill. Instead of picking up a used Aeron, check out some of our favorite office chair alternatives that will, stylishly, fit just about any budget. It can’t possibly be comfortable. The bungees are definitely going to stretch. The ergonomics are terrible. The only problem with this ridiculously comfortable chair is that everyone that visits HAS to sit in the chair made of bungee cords.
