Asda said: “[We’re] offering a selection of cut back outdoor products under the George Home label, rivalling Aldi’s new outdoor living range. “The ‘no frills’ approach has been adopted to keep costs down for customers this summer. “If you opt for all of these George Home products over Aldi’s range, you’ll have some cash to splash on the Sedona Expressions 3 piece bistro set, for only £49.” While Asda’s BBQ costs £10 less, at £39 Tony Baines, of Aldi, said: “Our Spa Pool is available for just £299.99 and will launch in stores on 9th April. As with all of Aldi’s products, including outdoor garden, our prices won’t be beaten on products of comparable quality.” Aldi’s Specialbuys are becoming increasingly popular with cash-strapped Brits, with the German retailer selling luxury items at a discount.
