Can anybody recommend a company to rent scooters or wheelchairs from? is it cheaper to rent outside the parks or just day to day as required also can anybody confirm the process in the parks for queues etc I believe if they show their disability badges at the customer service they can enter via a different entrance then the regular queues. There will be 7 of us so can they wait till the rest of us get through the line so we can all ride together? Plus any other advice/tips for getting round the parks would be appreciated

You will all be allowed to ride together. Most rides have a separate entrance for wheelchairs that your whole party can enter through. It will be cheaper and more convenient for you to rent scooters outside the parks, just google mobility scooters in orlando for various options or type mobility scooters in the search box on here for more info. Here is some helpful info i hate these chairs!! they should be banned from parks!! as my foot got realy swollen two years ago as my foot got run over by one of these big mobility scooter and i hate it when they hog up all the space for the parades and dont give the space to other folks im not direacting this at any one this is just what happend to me and what i see when im there at disney world what do all of you guys on here think agree? They are bulky but for some they are the only way to get around I'm sure the majority of people in them would must prefer to be healthy enough to be able to walk. Does anybody now if the process is the same in universal and Disney ?

I know the scooters can be a pain but some really need them. My mom would not be able to visit without one and she loves WDW.

Parking badges are usually ok at theme parks since they are on private property. If you plan on trying to park in handicap spaces on private property the regulations have changed. The Florida Department of Transportation now requires a temporary parking badge for international visitors. on our last visit. Orlando Scooter Rental & Scooter Rental Orlando only charge $100 per week for a scooter. No One on the internet could match their price or their service. The scooter was virtually brand new. It had lights, Indicators and Suspension.Their contact number is 1-855-2-RIDE-ME. If the people in your party have mobility issues then I would hire a scooter. I know it's added cost you could do without but we would never have managed without them on our most recent visit and they helped to improve the quality of the holiday for myself and the other disabled person in our party. And for the person who was ' run over ' by one I would say I had literally hundreds of people step right out in front of me who did not look where they were going or give right of way when it was mine.

I never hit anyone or ran them over but I did feel like it the way they treated me sometimes! This is much to late for you, but for others researching scooter companies - Walker Scooter Rental is wonderful. I have used them 3 different times. Their prices are good and they are so very helpful. This last time down here we had a problem with our scooter (first time I ever had a problem) and they had a tech nearby who met us at the Magic Kingdom entrance in less than 5 minutes. He brought a new scooter for us, but it turned out to be a quick fix for him.
