Azure blue, red and grey tones give this plaid a contemporary twist. This item will be listed for sale on our new website soon. This little beauty is another of our projects for our own home.
This chair is now in our new nursery… imminently awaiting the arrival of our baby (due sometime this week). The chair is from the 1980’s so it’s not as vintage as the other Ercol Windsor chairs we have refurbished.  The original pink dralon cushion covers were a little drab – so they had to go! The pirelli webbing was still in good condition so we decided not to replace that. We polished up the dark wood frame as it was also in good condition, with only slight wear to the arms and legs. We recovered the cushions and footstool in a vibrant and soft tangerine linen, using a top stitch to give the overall project a slightly more contemporary look. The chair is amazingly comfortable – especially when used with the footstool. Another lovingly restored piece which will be enjoyed by our little one for many years to come! We hope you like! We have lovingly transformed these 1960’s Ercol chairs into a bright and beautiful dining set. Each chair has been professionally sprayed in a gloss Pacific Blue, Navy Blue, Coral and Grey.
The chairs are made of solid beech and elm, and are all in a very sturdy condition. They are all stamped underneath with the Ercol marking ‘BS CF 1960 2056’. There are some slight marks to the frames, but this adds to the vintage charm. The grey chair does have a little nibble mark to the edge of the seat – we think a dog may have tried to have a little feast over the years! We have sanded this back, but once again adds to the character of the furniture. See how we chose the colours for our chairs here > (Please note: The pictures show small tacks in the bottom of the feet – these are for our spraying / storage use and will be removed prior to shipping). To purchase please see our Etsy Listing here >> We have finished restoring a lovely pair of Ercol ‘Windsor’ Lounge Chairs – Model No. 203. These chairs are original 1960’s. These chairs have been widely regarded as the best armchair Ercol have ever produced. The frame is made entirely from a solid Elm with spindled back and curving, upswept arms.
We have recovered these chairs in a vibrant yellow fabric (Foxtrot Rib Sulphur), with added button details to the backs. We have also added yellow and grey striped down filled scatter cushions. We finished off these chairs by adding new Ercol foam interiors to both back and seat cushions, and have rewebbed the seat platforms with new Pirelli webbing.bean bag chair cyber monday The frames do show some minor marks but we feel this adds to the vintage character of the chairs. papasan chair cushion saleOverall the chairs are in great condition for their age!acapulco chair buy uk All our chairs are reupholstered to comply with current fire regulations.dining table and chairs for sale cheltenham

As you’ll see from the moodboard I posted last week we have gone for a super cool mix of blues, coral and grey! The ‘Mr & Mrs Smithers’ – affectionately named after some good friends of ours who kindly gave them to us as a wedding project-present last year!dining table and chairs for sale cheltenham These wooden armchairs probably date from the 60′s or 70′s. table and chair rentals cocoa flThere are no manufacturers mark on these, though the arms and top back rail have an Ercol-esque feel to them. They have solid hardwood frames with lovely wishbone detailing to the arms and back. The frames are screwed and dowelled, unmistakably British – they look like a mixture of Beech and steam bent Elm, popularly used by Ercol.
The chairs were originally varnished in a rather nasty dark brown and the original cushions were a faded crushed sage green velour. This restoration involved completely hand sanding the frames, and priming and spraying in a Stone Grey colour furniture paint. The seat platforms have coil sprung suspension, but we have added brand new interior fillings in the seat and back cushions to make them comfy and supportive once more. The cushions were reupholstered in a contemporary Grey Linen look fabric, with contrasting Lime Green piping. The contrast piped seat and back cushions, also feature contrast buttons. All cushions are reversible so can be shown as plain grey instead. Each chair also comes with a fabulous  Paisley print 20″ down filled scatter cushion as pictured. Either on their own, or as a pair they will make a great statement in any room.We are really pleased with how these chairs have turned out, we just wish we knew who made them?! I recently found a great online tool for helping create digital moodboards. Olioboard is tailor-made with interior designers in mind, and integrates a huge library of interior design related images, neatly organised by category which are ready to be dropped into your creation. You can even add your own images too. I’ve just created my first moodboard with Olioboard – which helped me when choosing the spray colours for our 4 x Ercol Goldsmith Dining Chairs we are currently restoring. Below shows my moodboard, drawing inspiration from navy & ocean blues, corals and grey. The four colour blocks at the bottom are the spray paint colours I have ordered. Each chair will be painted in one colour. Hopefully we will have these chairs finished and for sale by next weekend! These chairs are real beauties! We are currently stripping back a lovely pair of Wooden Armchairs which we think are from the 60′s or 70′s. Having worked with Ercol frames previously we suspect the chairs to be British manufactured, if for nothing else but the comparable quality.
