The DockATot is one of my favorite purchases for baby. She has slept so great in it, and I love that I don't have to worry about her rolling around. She is in there nice and snug! The reality is it’s one of those big investment pieces for your child (and potentially subsequent children) and it’s going to go through some tough use. So you need it to be up to the job. Over the last few months, we’ve undertaken some serious road testing of the Cosatto Noodle Supa Highchair and I’m pleased to say, I think we chose pretty well. Want to know what we thought? I don’t want to sound fickle but Cosatto have always stood out due to how their products look. The colours are bright, the patterns are funky and the design shaping is simple and functional. The hardest part was deciding which pattern to go for (we chose Monster Mash in the end!). 

With reviews calling it comfortable, easy to use and easy to clean; the Cosatto Noodle Supa is award winning and consistently ranks highly in reviews online… all of that combined sold it for us! The chair comes requiring some simple assembly with clear instructions to follow in order to attach the legs and stops. I managed to put it together WITH a baby in tow in about ten minutes so… pretty easy! You will need a screwdriver in order to put the stops in on the legs (preventing the seat from hitting the ground should the height adjuster slip) though, it took me longer to find that than it did to put the rest together! Firstly, the chair is suitable for those between six months and roughly three years (15kg) so it’s in for the long haul. The chair has six different height settings, meaning you can position your child at the level you want. We use the lowest height for when we’re sat in the lounge as it’s perfect for a parent sat on the floor. The other heights are normally used to adjust it to the table when we’re sat up (or keep food out the way of the dog!).

Finally, the tray… it’s removable with one hand and has a plastic tray cover which is removable to make washing easy.

There’s genuinely a LOT of functionality but I think I’ve covered it all. It’s by no means the most compact chair. If you drop the height adjustment down to it’s lowest setting and press in the collapse buttons to allow you to pull the legs together, it does go down to a relatively small size. However, if you’re tight for space this isn’t the chair for you. Once up, it’s still quite large due to the wide span of the legs and comfortable size of the seat and tray. It’s certainly not unwieldy but it’s by no means the smallest chair out there. The height adjustment really does work well for us. We love being able to sit him in it if we eat in the lounge but then adjust him up to the table the rest of the time.  The tray is great; being able to remove the top of it easily means that it can be cleaned in seconds. You’re not wiping in nooks and crannies, just unclipping one piece and washing it like a plate! The design on the Cosatto Noodle Supa is spot on;

it’s a bit out there but it’s cheerful and perfect for people who aren’t afraid to show a bit of personality with their belongings. It’s the little detailing that helps make it like the monsters on the leg collapse buttons for example! Finally, it FEELS sturdy. When he’s in (and he’s a wriggly little monster), he’s in. It doesn’t feel like he’s going to slip out or that we’re having to wedge him in.  He flings himself around trying to see and feed the dog and it barely wobbles. The buckle can be difficult to do up as you have to slide two pieces together before clipping a side in. With a wriggly baby that’s not always the easiest but it’s not the end of the world. It does stump my mum though EVERY time. So be warned if Grandparents are using it as it takes a little getting used to! Also, it’s difficult to move around because of the size/set-up. If you’ve got two hands free then it’s easy, but if you’re trying to hold onto a baby whilst you move or put the chair up then good luck to you!

You have to push in both buttons in order to release the legs which is near impossible with one hand. With that in mind, this chair really is suited to somewhere where it can be left in place or someone who is really good at corralling children whilst they do it!When it comes to highchairs, I would say it’s mid-range in terms of expenditure. Possibly on the higher end of that. Do look around for pricing as it seems to vary from place to place by as much as £20. In terms of what you get for your money, if you’re just looking for a highchair then there are others out there that will do the job for less. However, in terms of product build, looks and functionality, I would say that this chair offers a lot. It feels like it’ll stand the test of time (well at least a good few years of abuse!) and it’s backed by a FOUR YEAR GUARANTEE. So in the unlikely event that it does break, you’ve got that additional peace of mind. The Cosatto Noodle Supa still remains one of my favourites out there.
