Your first stop after leaving our location is the Beach Landing, which was used as a landing spot for Union troops in 1865. on this tour include Carolina Beach Elementary School, the site of the Carolina Beach Hotel Fire in 1928, the Kure Beach Post Office, where Union troops defended their position in 1865, the Fort Fisher Civil War Site, Military Ocean Terminal Sunny Point, home of the largest ammunition port in the nation, and Our self-guided tours include your choice of bicycle,  a route map with all the great points of interest and historic facts about the area, a helmet, bike bag or basket, and a bike lock.  Plus, our rental clerks are happy to help you select the perfect bike for your adventure. While on one of our self-guided tours, you can expect to be out exploring for 3 to 4 hours.
