Students were shown how to make a sampler, how to sew a hem, and how to sew on a button, to help them to repair their uniforms. They designed a cushion each and hand sewed and appliquéd bits onto the delightfully coloured cushions. They were delighted and very proud of the result as the photo shows. LIBRARY BAGS FROM GEELONG DAY VIEW CLUB Geelong Day VIEW club donated three boxes of stationary goods including pencils, rubbers, pencil cases, backpacks, hats, and 30 soccer balls. All gathered by the ladies for deserving children in Geelong. They also delivered over 130 Library bags which they took the time to sew. They will be put to good use to keep the books tidy and in good order. Postie Fashion Luncheon a great success East Geelong Golf Club was a beautiful venue for Janice Harmon to present her selection of tops, jacket, shirts and pants in the Postie range. The thirty ladies who attended were delighted with the way she would make an awesome outfit, simply by changing the color of a blouse under a jacket or adding a scarf she could make an outfit look stunning in just seconds.
