blue chair bay white rum review

Blue Chair Bay White Rum - a step up in white rum. Kenny Chesney is known for his love of rum, referenced in many of his songs. When he decided it was time to find the rum he’d always wanted to drink, he teamed up with a handful of professionals and started thinking, researching and trying to create his own unique blend. The process took him to Barbados, where Blue Chair Bay Rum was born. There’s something about the sunlight, the waves, and the breeze across the bay that changes the nature of time. Blue Chair Bay White is distilled steps from the beach and mellowed in white oak casks right on the Caribbean coast. Produced by Kenny Chesney. Check your troubles at the shore. brown leather chair dfsShort drive, if 30 miles is a short drive. When my wife and I got home we decided to try one of the signature drinks, an Island Girl.

It uses Blue Chair Bay Coconut Rum and we like coconut anything. So, here’s the drink recipe and our review: 1 1/2 oz. Blue Chair Bay Coconut Rum1 oz. orange juice 1 oz. pinapple juice 2 oz. lemon-lime soda Mix all of the ingredients in a tall glass half full of ice, stir and serve with a garnish of orange or pineapple Now for the Review Full disclosure, I tried some straight so I’d have a better idea of the true taste of this premium rum. Glad I did because the soda in the Island Lady was just a bit too sweet for me. What I will say is that it is definitely easy to drink. It’s a clear white rum with a nice but not over powering flavor of coconut. It definitely puts some distance between itself and say Malibu Rum. It’s a lot more subtle coconut flavoring. And surely not as sweet as some coconut rums on the market. And Blue Chair Bay Rum would be a great rum choice for just about any of our favorite rum mixed drinks. On the rocks it was smooth and cool …warming as it went down without any hints of fake coconut flavoring.

IMO, it stands out from some of the other coconut rums in its balance and drinkability. It’s a true premium product …no doubt and no disappointment. This will be one of the top rums in a very short time. Find out where you can pick up Blue Chair Bay Rum using their handy store locator. So pick up a bottle and give it a try then let me know what you think.A few weeks ago, I was contacted by the nice folks at Blue Chair Bay asking if I’d be interested in hosting a review and giveaway this month. I first tried their rum back in September at the Music City Eats Festival, and I thoroughly enjoyed it, so I figured – why not? Let’s give it a go. I’m always willing to experiment with cocktails and, of course, I love being able to share my finds with you guys! Blue Chair Bay’s Smoked Coconut and Pineapple Fizz at Music City Eats Festival Blue Chair Bay Rum is relatively new to the marketplace, as it just launched this past summer. Interestingly, the brand was created by country music singer Kenny Chesney.

Unlike some celebrities who just give their name to brands to use for promotional purposes, Kenny really, truly had a hand in creating this spirit. There are three flavors – white, spiced coconut and coconut. I had a really tough time deciding which one I’d like to play around with, but ultimately decided that the white would allow for more flexibility. (I’m still dying to try the spiced coconut, as I’m a coconut fiend!) After several attempts at creating something unique and appropriate for this time of year, I finally came up with a dessert cocktail that was inspired by a blackberry cream cheese coffeecake I first had in wine country a few years ago. The coffeecake has become a favorite brunch item for my friends and I, so I tried to replicate some of those flavors in my drink – blackberry, cream, and almond. And, because I love ginger so much, I threw that in there too! 1.5 oz Blue Chair Bay White Rum 1/2 oz ginger syrup 2 oz whole milk or cream

In a shaker, muddle 6 blackberries. Add the remaining ingredients and fill with ice. Shake very well and strain into a Martini glass. Garnish with skewer of 3 blackberries.
