best zero gravity massage chair

There are myriad benefits to spending time outdoors, and these can be quantified both physiologically as well as emotionally. Unless you live in a busy city, it's likely that the indoor air quality (abbreviated as IAQ by the Environmental Protection Agency) to which you are regularly exposed is inferior to the cleaner, fresher air you'll find outside. Thus the more time you spend outdoors, the better for your pulmonary and cardiovascular health. Fresh air not only cleans your lungs, but improves circulation and helps optimize your heart rate. While too much exposure to sunlight is a serious health hazard, getting too little exposure to sunshine also has negative impacts on your health. Your skin is naturally disposed to produce healthy, beneficial vitamin D when exposed to direct sunlight; as little as 15 to 20 minutes of daily sun exposure is sufficient for the fair skinned person to produce their daily quota of vitamin D, while darker skinned individuals should try for longer exposure.

And it is clinically proven that insufficient exposure to natural light can have a severe impact on a human's happiness and sense of well-being.

A zero gravity chair is a specialized recliner that elevates the legs to approximately the same level as the chest. It allows the sitter to assume a gently curved supine position that minimizes the pressure placed on the spine, especially reducing the pressure exerted on the lower back's lumbar region, which tends to be the locus of back pain for most who suffer from the affliction. Zero gravity chairs are comfortable for people of all ages, fitness levels, and health conditions, but they are an exceptionally good seating choice for older, infirm individuals or for those who suffer from back or spine issues. This is true whether the pain is chronic or acute, brought on by anything from injury to surgery to the aging process. By minimizing the pressure put on the body through this ideal curvature and recline angle, a zero gravity chair does the best possible job of relieving physical stresses, and that can in turn help alleviate emotional distress as well. The simple act of sitting down (or practically lying down, as the case is with these chairs) for a few moments spent in total comfort can do wonders for the psyche.

Pairing this physical comfort with the benefits of the outdoors only increases the physiological and emotional benefits you can reap. While many chairs that allow a sitter to assume the zero gravity position are decidedly designed for indoor use (the Herman-Miller Eames Chair comes readily to mind for many), there are plenty of zero gravity recliners that are specifically designed to be used outside. And just such a chair might be the element missing as you relax on the deck, fish from the pier, or enjoy your poolside patio. When selecting an outdoor zero gravity chair, you will want to first consider your needs. For the larger adult, it's important to select a chair that can support his or her weight and size. Most zero gravity chairs can support up to three hundred pounds, but some are too short for proper enjoyment by taller people, for example. And you need to be seated comfortably not only to enjoy the benefits of these chairs, but to avoid actually creating an issue. Price will also be an important consideration, as the range of zero gravity chair prices starts near fifty dollars and soars as high as two hundred and fifty, and beyond.

The more expensive chairs will last much longer, though, so think of their expense as an investment. Beyond the basics of size and price, consider the extras that come with various zero gravity chairs. Some feature pillows that can be used to cradle the head or which can be lowered for additional lumbar support. Others have built in beverage holders or tray tables. There are even outdoor zero gravity chairs that can accommodate two people, perfect for the couple that wants to relax together. Finally, consider where the chair will be when not in use. Some zero gravity chairs easily fold away for storage, while others are designed to resist sun and weather damage and might not even need to be stowed when not being enjoyed.Skip to main content Full Body Zero Gravity Shiatsu Black Massage Chair Recliner 3D Massager Heat 86 product ratings 5 See all 61 reviews About this product xpectmoreforless (317758) All listings for this product Most relevant reviews See all 61 reviews by Good Chair for the price

Have had the chair for over a month now. As with all chairs, it does take some getting used to. Pressure on the lower back to butt area is rather intense but sitting on a thin pillow fixes that. Arm sleeves are well placed for someone 5' tall or less but for those of us 6'+ the air bags work on your wrists. Sliding the arms back is not natural or relaxing but it is not really that big of a deal. Foot well does lower down to allow for those with reasonably longer legs. I would guess a 36" inseam would be max. Chair operates for 20 minute cycles and does a pretty good job of getting the tension out. Zero gravity position is almost achieved but not quite IMO. Maybe by some technicality but not in real life. Not a big deal though as the chair does do a pretty decent job. There are three of us in the house and all of us enjoy using it so it can't be that bad, right? Unpacking and Assembly was easy enough. Toughest part was getting it in through the door. Taking the door off the hinges allowed access to the house quickly though.

Myself and my 16yo son carried it in with relative ease. Is it as good as a $5000 chair from Brookstone ... no. BUT you are paying less than 20% of that so that really isn't a fair comparison is it. The chair is good value for the money and I would not hesitate getting another one. Verified purchase: Yes | Have been using it for a few days Was easy to set up - delivery came as promised Have used a massage chair in the lounge at airport and expected this to be somewhat similar. Although it did look similar the quality of the massage is well below par. Would highly recommend to try a chair before you buy. Is equivalent to someone rolling some hard balls on your back. Definitely NOT worth the place it takes up in my house. by So far so good This was delivered by pallet and I had to move it by myself into the house. My muscles are still sore from moving it over two weeks ago (I'm no slouch). Overall it does it's job well and has a variety of features.

It's used 3-4 times a day. The arm airbags don't seem all that helpful but I LOVE the foot rollers and the shiatsu mode and heat on my back. The zero gravity makes each massage even better. The owner's manual is worthless except it's funny. It explains what each mode does like this: The "Refresh" button turns on refresh mode. "Do not use when drunk or feel bad". I hope this lasts a long time but some internal mechanical noises seem a little off. I'll start to worry if it worsens, but for now it's a good buy. by Pretty good value for the price, some issues. For the price you get a very good neck, butt and back massage, looks very sharp, heat on the lower back works well, you can tell in zero gravity mode that you get a better and more relaxed massage. The techniques mode lets you pinpoint problem areas, especially I like the kneading mode. 3 of the 4 types of 4 massage modes work as expected, the recovery mode has 3 glitches in the program where the shiatsu rollers only go up 1 side of my back, very uncomfortable, won't be using that mode again (I'm not going to pay $300 to send it back for repairs, I'll live with it, plus the other 3 modes are plenty.)

This thing beats up my upper back pelvic bone like I owe it money. I either have to arch my lower back when the rollers get close or put a thick towel in that area, unless you have extra padding naturally in that area be warned of possible bruising. The arms and calves are just airbags that squeeze, feels nice but not really a massage. The foot massage is very good but like the arms and calves only activates sporadically through the cycle and even in manual mode (maybe I'm missing something, the directions are pretty useless). The head cushion is pretty useless during a massage for anyone over 5'10" or so because it covers up a large part of the massage area, so I always throw it back over the back of the chair before starting, then put it back when done because it makes the chair look nicer. Overall for the price I like it despite the problems described. by Best massage zero gravity This chair is awesome. Arrived just shy of a week on crate, box is 31.5" wide.

Shipping company was friendly and called for drop off time, 6 hour window and they arrived early. Fit within my 32" door with easy. Set up is fairly easy, instructions included and easy to look at pics to figure out. Plugged in and works great. I'm 5'11 and 235lb and fits me great. Instructions tell what each mode does, relax, recover, etc.. I like the extend and recover mode. Extend mode allows you to adjust rollers higher to start at neck area. Massage is absolutely amazing. The rollers hurt a little on lower back but had it just under a month and now doesn't hurt at all. Foot rollers work wonders. I don't think it is 3D but this is my first chair. Overall this chair is well worth the money. Other chairs are double or triple the price and this has pretty much the same features. I use the chair once or twice a day and can't speak of durability with only 1 month use but seems well made and solid. Fell asleep more then once in the chair but it has 20 min shut off so no harm or foul.
