In business on our beach since 1987, owner Bill Patterson knows a thing or two about what visitors want, and he offers a full array of services – ranging from lounge chairs to paddle board rentals and more. But perhaps what is most valuable about his service comes free of charge. Lazy Days only employs true locals, and they know everything there is to know about Pensacola Beach. So if you want to know where to dine or what kind of seashell just washed ashore, these barefoot and tan concierges are the guys to ask.

Says owner Bill Patterson, “We know more than we should about what’s good and what’s not around here and are candid with our customers.” And contrary to its name, the Lazy Days crew is anything but lazy. They clean up seaweed and trash by hand every day, and they also worked tirelessly to restore our beach after Hurricane Ivan and the oil spill. Pensacola Beach is their home turf, and they have an inordinate amount of personal pride in both the beauty of the beach and the character of the community. They believe it stands out from the crowded Florida beach scene because it isn’t overly commercialized. Because our condos and hotels are centralized, the beach is beautifully undeveloped at both ends. It’s a quiet destination – and being here is more about putting your toes in the sand than anything else. “Here, you park your car and immediately proceed straight to your beach chair. Most people don’t move their cars again,” says Lazy Days manager Ashley Curd.
