Since the hotel is on a popular part of a public beach, they require guests to wear wristbands to access the pool. The bar has entertainment and food so it attracts a lot of beach goers that aren’t guests of the hotel. We are big fans of free breakfasts.

We will always take what is offered! This one was no exception. While we enjoyed the cereal, toast,  bagels, and yogurt, they seemed to be running low when we got there. This wasn’t a problem for us since we had breakfast items in our room. You may want to make sure to have extra food in your room if you eat a lot for breakfast. The kitchenette really did make the trip much more enjoyable for us. It’s nice to be able to feed the kids while everyone else gets ready for a day at the beach. The hotel also offers suites that offer a separate bedroom from the living room. This would be nice to do if you want to be separated from the kids. The beach is the highlight here! The Fountain View is right in the middle of all the activity in Daytona Beach. You can rent golf carts to ride up and down the beach or you can drive your own car to the access point just a few feet from the hotel.

The wide beach is perfect for hanging out by the ocean all day long. Beach chair rentals and food stands are available for hotel guests and regular beach goers. My kids never stayed still long enough for us to stay in chairs. We threw our beach bag down on the sand and chased after the kids. The pool overlooks the beach and is right next to the bar that also serves food and has live entertainment. It’s also wheelchair accessible, which is always a plus for moms with strollers! Make sure to bring those extra towels from home. If you get tired of the beach, the Boardwalk is only a quick walk away. It took us less than 10 minutes to walk there not including a quick Starbucks stop along the way. The Boardwalk offers many dining options from sitting down at Joe’s Crab Shack on the pier, or grabbing a quick hot dog. There are also lots of entertainment and dining options at the Ocean Walk Shoppes located by the Bandshell at the end of the Boardwalk. If you don’t mind a short drive, there are lots of fun educational opportunities at Ponce Inlet only 10 minutes away from the hotel.
