beach chair rental pensacola florida

Located on Santa Rosa Island, one of the longest barrier islands in the world, Pensacola Beach has an old Florida feel with natural beaches, local hang-outs, first-rate fishing and historic Fort Pickens. Pensacola Beach has been named among the nation’s top 10 beaches by TripAdvisor. Okaloosa Island is the stretch of beach in Fort Walton Beach. The “Island” is surrounded by the Gulf of Mexico to the south, the Sound to the north and by federal land to the east and west. The vacation spot of the past has been revived and is definitely a current favorite. Navarre Beach, also known as Florida’s Playground, is one of the Gulf Coast’s best kept secrets. Its sand is as fine as confectioner’s sugar & teaming with seashells. This barrier island is one of only ten beaches in the nation protected as a National Seashore. I read somewhere it's like 30 dollars to rent a chair for the day if you are at a hotel on the beach?? Are there any hotels I that have chairs on the beach for guests to use??

All of them will have chair service out front but at a cost. It's been so long since we've paid for it, I don't know what the rate is. We stop at a convenience/grocery store on the way to the beach and buy our own stuff. You can often find another guest to give it to when you leave, or simply set it outside the door with a "free to good home" note and it'll quickly be gone. You'll save plenty of $$. Thanks for your help......now to decide on a hotel. We have it down to 2. Lazy Days pretty much runs all the beach chair rentals out there. And they charge $30 a day. You might be better off buying a cheap chair and umbrella at Wal mart while down. Please don't pay $30 for a beach chair. It's a total rip off and hotels charging tourists this much should be ashamed. Go to Alvin's Island, its a store right on Pensacola beach, buy a cheap chair and then just leave it in your hotel room when its time to go if you're not driving but flying. Hotels can't make you use their chairs.

I've have friends all the time, buy cheap chairs and set them right next to the hotel chairs.

chair cover rentals broward county Edited: 4:06 pm, February 25, 2015 A lot of the condos will actually have chairs that have been left by previous guests. The last condo that we rented on the beach, had 3 chairs that had been left by the previous renters. Worked great for us, and we left them for the next renters. You may get lucky and actually have some in your condo if you are renting a condo. This post was determined to be inappropriate by the TripAdvisor community and has been removed.

We have a condo rented at Emerald Isle planning to buy chairs. The beach guys are very friendly but $30 a day could be better spent on food & booze. I don't mind people renting chairs and umbrellas on the beach. If someone wants to pay that fee for the convenience it's not for me to condemn. What I mind about this service is that the proprietors establish their "turf" early in the morning, take up massive stretches of beach, and often hog that space all day, even when only a handful of the dozens of chairs they have set out are rented. Edited: 1:48 pm, March 28, 2015 Currently here right now and yes it is $30/day! You can choose to rent by the hour and I believe it's $6/hr. Which might be more reasonable for you if you just want a couple of hours use. We bought our own umbrella and brought a beach Mat and that's working just fine for us.

Don't miss having any chairs. There are stores across from the main hotels that you can purchase anything you may need! Snorkeling gear rental and location-kayak out? A well-known travel truism is, “When in Rome, do as the Romans do.” If you want to live by this credo while vacationing on Pensacola Beach, you should seek advice from your beach chair attendant … especially if they work for Lazy Days Beach Rentals.

Ashley Curd manages the team who gets up the at the crack of dawn every morning to set out hundreds of blue foam pads on wooden loungers, adorning each pair with a matching umbrella. It hardly seems possible to make this ‘postcard pretty’ beach more beautiful, but that’s exactly what Ashley and his crew do every day. Lazy Days only hires ‘blood locals,’ meaning you need to be born and bred on the confined shores of Santa Rosa Island to earn a spot amongst this privileged crew. Young local surfers aspire to the coveted positions and must come with a referral to be hired. Once on board, they stay with the company for years, often using their income to work their way through college. Some, like Ashley, never manage to tear themselves away from the idyllic beach lifestyle. “We wrap up our twelve-hour work days by surfing and taking in the sunset. I spend my days off on the beach,” he says. “I am on the beach 70 hours a week and love every minute of it.

I really have no reason to wear shoes.” It’s a business model that owner Bill Patterson has carefully cultivated. He says, “I only hire beach kids, and they are always my friends before my employees. We are very close and have known each other most of our lives. We know everything and everybody in Pensacola Beach.” In short, the Lazy Days crew is a team of barefoot, shirtless, well tanned (and well informed) concierges. Whether you are looking for a jet ski rental or the best sandwich on the beach, they’re the guys to ask. Maybe the loyalty results from the fact that this is not your average beach attendant job. Bill has high expectations of his staff and instills a powerful responsibility for protecting the beach and everyone on it. People come year after year looking for the Lazy Days crew. And for good reason. Lazy Days Beach Rentals has been serving Pensacola Beach hotels like Hampton Pensacola Beach with chairs, umbrellas and equipment like paddle boards and surfboards since 1987.
