Orient Beach is a truly majestic setting with the mountains rising up all around. Not to mention the beautiful tiny islands of Green Key, Tintamare and Pinel Island just off shore. Lined with tiki huts, colorful beach chairs and restaurants, the sands of Orient are always full of action. Many compare Orient Bay to the French Riviera, the "Saint Tropez of the Caribbean" with its pampering services and ambiance. The Bay actually consists of five main beaches, called the "5 stars of Orient Bay" Kontiki, Kakao, Bikini Beach, Waikiki and Coco Beach, named after their respective beach bars and each next to another. In fact, Orient Bay boats of numerous restaurants and bars along the beach, a panoply of water sport activities, boutiques and shops, hotels and resorts. This beach is breathtaking! Soft white sand and blue turquoise water that just entraps you. We just found ourselves so relaxed on this beach. The beach is quite long, so if you enjoy beach walks, you have plenty of sand to cross.

This beach has large conch shells, sand dollars and sea urchins in abundance! There is a nude beach... The food and drinks are wonderful here! There are a lot of sunbeds so getting to and from the sea can be tricky

This is the best place on the island, a bit more upscale hen the other beaches. Beach is huge and not crowded. Lots of restaurants to choose from all categories and prices.. worth the trip to check it out We stayed in Simpson Bay on the Dutch side and discovered Orient Bay Beach when we decided to go parasailing. This beach and area was beautiful. There was also free and adequate parking, which seemed to be a rarity on the island. I would highly recommend! Yes Orient beach does have a nude section but the beach is long enough where you can sit a variety of different named beaches with your bathing suit on. Our Villa included 5 different beach areas for free chairs & umbrella every day. We stayed with Bikini Beach where the waite staff was top notch. Plenty of beach bars, food,... What a wonderful area. The small bay curves in a gentle crescent that moderates the surf and keeps it generally mild and safe for youngsters or older visitors. The weather is usually luxurious, with a mild breeze to counter sun and temps in the high 80's and low 90's.

There are several distinct sections with quite exceptional sand-side restaurants and... I've never been to Orient beach so don't mind me if this is a silly question. Should have an answer soon for you. Been there twice but not on far North Mount Vernon end where many condos are located. I know the beach bar servers bring drinks to your chairs and work hard for their tips. I read that in past years some "beach boys" as some called them get upset when you don't purchase from them. It's not like wide USA beaches were you can hang back behind Umbrellas or in front and spread out with large cooler. It is bars with chairs in front from what I could see. I would think a couple of your own small snacks would be fine, but buy from bar or run back to condo for big lunch if you want.

That's what we will be doing. There are a couple places just north of the nude beach which I believe rent chairs which don't have restaurant's so those should work for you. Club orient (nude beach) are fine with you bringing your cooler. Generally the other places would probably frown upon it. I have never had a problem at Bikini or LaPlaya bringing a cooler with food too. Lots of space between chairs too. You rent the chairs, you are not obligated to anything else. I don't usually hit Orient but on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays when we are off work, we always hit a beach with a cooler and if I am going to be there all day I rent a few chairs and umbrella. Granted, most of the chair "boys" know us but even if they didn't, I really don't think anyone would say anything. yes we bring a cooler & rented chairs too. For about $50 you can buy two folding chairs and an umbrella at ACE. If you are going to be there any serious length of time, just buy your own and bring them with you to whatever stretch of beach you want to use.

We will be there next SUnday --- which is a good entry into Orient Beach with places to purchase drink and lots to do? We actually didn't end up having a beach day at Orient. It's nice to take pictures and see everything there but there are so many other cool beaches that aren't as touristy. I recommend Friar's, Grand Case, and Pinel. Sorry if that doesn't help you.
