The staff accommodated our late check-in, and was kind and helpful throughout our stay. We loved the open kitchen for late-night snacks. Our daughter adored their pet birds. The historic building was interesting, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming.
If we again have the opportunity, we would definitely return! on July 02, 2016 Wonderful, friendly staff, great room. Much better than the hectic stay at the major resorts. great stay & location on February 04, 2016 We had 2 rooms and stayed 4 days. on June 13, 2015 Loved stepping back in time along with the small town atmosphere. Quaint, lovely and just 20min away from Orlando attractions -- we left Orlando early to get back to window shopping, coffee houses, micro brewery, ice cream parlors: a piece of America My experience at Edgewater on September 16, 2014 Great place and great value! on June 30, 2014 A unique 1920s hotel that is worth the stay. Next to a 22 mile bike/running path in a quaint town. A Step Back in Time on November 05, 2013 Located in scenic Winter Garden, the hotel itself is historic and you can ask any staff member and they will be happy to share it's rich history with you. From the area's oldest manual elevator, to the hardwood flooring in the halls, to the design of the individual guest room, everything about the Edgewater Hotel is a throwback to days gone by.
A delicious included breakfast, that is cooked-to-order, rounds out a most unique stay in one of the most unique B&B's around. Great town, great hotel, great restaurants on July 15, 2012 Edgewater is a lovely older hotel that occupies the second floor of a historic building in the quaint town of Winter Garden. We enjoyed staying there and meeting some of the staff. I would love to visit them again when we travel back to Florida. 2 Days in Winter Garden on March 22, 2012 Having a couple of days to fill in prior to heading to the beach, we chose the Edgewater based on the price and the location. The historic community was great, with fun shops and restaurants to visit within a few blocks of the hotel. The Edgewater hotel was charming and historic as advertized. The experince there was acceptable and we would likely stay there again if we were to visit the area. You should not expect luxury accomodations and the breakfast, while made to order, was just OK. The place was not exceptionally clean, but not discusting either.
All in all we enjoyed our stay, just keep your expectations realistic for this type of a facility. The staff was very nice and helpful. An Evening at Edgewater on February 25, 2012 My wife and I stayed at the Edgewater Hotel for one night before heading out on our honeymoon. The rooms were immaculately clean, the hotel had a wonderfully historic atmosphere, and the included breakfast was delicious. We found the birds in cages charming, and were blown away by the piano player in the lobby. (Not sure if he was a guest or employee.) There is really only one complaint: With absolutely no exaggeration the water-temperature swung between scalding and ice-cold roughly every 30 seconds. The "hot" and "cold" knobs were more suggestions than controls. To be fair, though, we assumed that this was because the building is older than the vampire LeStat (who may have been roaming the hallways). An extremely accommodating staff and a quaint location rounded out our brief but enjoyable stay.
